Brian, Jeff, and their daddy Bill (along with a terrific friend and brand-new bow hunter, Alex Howard) took to the mountain on September 16th, 2014 in pursuit of the Rocky Mountain Elk in the Gila National Forest, New Mexico.  The Gila is home to most of the big game animals resident to New Mexico…and to the Lobo Wolf (aka Mexican Grey).  This was the first time the family had a professional camera crew in the field.  The experience of bringing strangers into hunt camp was new and intimidating for all of us.  Tensions were high and on day one of the hunt, the entire group looked (and sounded) like a “bag of monkeys trying to roll out into the mountains” according to Brian.  Fortunately, the optimism and adrenaline were high and Brian and Jeff pushed right smack dab into the middle of a herd of elk.  By the time the hunt and film production were over new friendships were found and the whole group left with the satisfaction that they did more than survive in the woods of the Gila.  When it comes to the Elk it was apparent that the cameramen started to believe in ghosts!
